No One Is Cool. Not Even You.
'No one is cool. Not even you.' Is a series of very short publications both written and designed by myself. The series is split into six different publications which each focus on certain branches of what it means to be 'cool'. Throughout this project I was able to develop my skills in both my writing and publication design.
I had a good chat with the Fashion Management and Communication course leader at Sheffield Hallam about how fashion dictates what is in trend, I created a web of cool to help people understand how influences really don’t make us all that unique and I also wrote a few words about the ancient Italian term ‘Sprezzatura’ and how it still holds relevance to this day.
I wanted each book to feel as though it didn’t have to be read in sequence, so they each have a unique front cover. Each cover has its own colour and embossing which reflects the content of the publication.
As this project was halted by a worldwide pandemic, I was unable to create the series physically.
